And this may even end up unworkable but I want to try to do this. I am not doing intensive things with this but still there may be a problem with a usable video driver. I realize this may not even work if there are some drivers I can't get. Many people make these videos without giving you an idea what they are basically doing but I think the W7 onto a W10 os is what this is all about. If I have to install w10 and then transfer the image to a partition I can do that pretty easily or like I say maybe there is a way to use cmd without the install first to do that.

Seems like it would have to be some kind of automatic W7 installer. But I don't see how it would help as I still wouldn't have any mouse or keyboard to make the selections, seems like the same problem. I have an extension cable that I could run to a dvd drive and maybe it would have enough juice for it. I have installed a m.2 ssd I will be loading to and so the sata slot where a hd can go is still open. I don't know that the video exactly explained what is better with a dvd other than he gets less errors. I did post I got the giga tool to work using a W8 pc. The one I used has a button for add drivers, but yes that is it. I may have to just try all of the different tools or procedures, some that seem pretty complicated, to ever get this to work. I think I tried a MSI tool also and it didn't work. A slipstream of some kind seems to be my only option. The change to a different Intel generation won't allow it.

On other pc's I have been able to install the needed driver by installing W7 on a different pc then the driver then swap the hd over to where it belongs, but in this case I can't get that to work. Luckily I have a ps2 port on my Giga ryzen mobo and I can do it pretty easily that way, although I would like to have it go a little easier even for that. I even worked with their tech and still no go, trying different W7 files and all. I hardly have anything but Giga, they are seriously my preference for mobos, but no go unless they have modified something in recent times. Ok I appreciate that but I have never been able to get the Giga tool to work for me.
